Best Ultimate Experience: Playing for the National Championship in the Masters division.

Bio: Coach Burtley is from Stevens Point, WI. He played his senior year at SPASH. He helped establish the Marquette University team and was named captain as a sophomore. He transferred to UWSP where he joined the men's team there and was named captain his senior year. Once his 4 years of eligibility were up, he then coached the women's frisbee team at UWSP. After college, coach Burtley captained a few summer teams. After moving to Madison, he started playing MUFA in the summer and fall. He still plays organized club ultimate at the Masters Level (ages 33 and up). His masters team this past summer qualified and placed 2nd at Nationals.

Coach Hansen-A Team Head Coach

What Levels of Ultimate Played: High School (SPASH), College Intramurals (UW-Madison), Adult Leagues (Dallas Ultimate Association & MUFA)

Best Ultimate Experience: Back in 2016, our B team came back from four points down to Madison West B to win a wild regular season away game. It was epic!
​
Bio: Coach Hansen also went to high school in Stevens Point, where he was one of the founding members of the ultimate frisbee team that Coach Burtley later joined. He has helped develop two high school ultimate programs--one at Shepton High School in Plano, Texas and our program here in Sun Prairie--and loves teaching the game of ultimate to new players. His goal is to build a community of passionate and knowledgeable ultimate players across Sun Prairie. In his spare time, he works with his sons Willem (9) and Ben (6) on the finer points of the flick.

Coach Schroeder-Girls Assistant Coach

What Levels of Ultimate Played: College, Club

Best Ultimate Experience: Being a part of a really great team with an energetic and loud sideline at every club tournament last season.
​
Bio: Coach Schroeder is from Salem, Wisconsin. Her ultimate journey started in Madison on a Summer MUFA team in 2016. She then joined the UW Women's Ultimate program her Junior year at Madison, and played two seasons on Atropa, the women's developmental team. Last club season Coach Schroeder was a captain on Mastodon, and enjoyed her season traveling with them and spending weekends on the road playing mixed ultimate. She is excited to continue to foster a community of strong, confident players and hopes to spread some of her love and high energy for the sport to the Sun Prairie team. In her spare time, Coach Schroeder is a writer, avid reader, and cat lover.
